Sharny Russell is a gifted and highly respected Australian pianist, vocalist, composer, arranger, producer and educator. I teach guitar because I love seeing that moment where something suddenly “clicks” in my students’ heads and they suddenly “get it.” I design all my materials to do exactly that – helping you get to the heart of what it means to learn and play guitar. It continues to grow today, faster than ever, with millions of views and counting. This helped me create the easiest-to-follow lessons on the web and has fueled my desire to make my channel bigger and better. The more I taught, online and in person, the more I learned about teaching all types of learners. On top of that, my home teaching studio was thriving. Guitar students began writing to me from all over the world. But it was all worth it because after it went up, I could tell there was something special happening. It took a (long) couple of weeks to film and edit my first tutorial. It was challenging at first – I was writing, filming and editing everything by myself (still do!). That’s when I had the idea to make a YouTube channel to help promote my lessons. I was determined to make my home practice work. Several thousand hours of practice, performance and one music degree later, I found myself wondering “what next?” I taught at music schools for a while, but teaching “out of the book” wasn’t for me.

He showed me how to play the riff from “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” and I was immediately hooked. Please note that the name "Dafydd Seal" is the nom de plume of this composer. He is currently completing 2 books of art music for beginner pianists. Much of Dafydd Seal's work in Africa concerned the foundation of Degree Programmes to empower aspiring musicians which had the support of Yehudi Menuhin. Dafydd Seal's work, influenced by his life in the Middle East and Africa, is fueled by cross cultural concepts and the exploration of atmospheric sound as described in the following crits of a performance in St John Smith's Square, London.

His works have been performed in New York, Chicago, London, Birmingham, Kiev, and Australia, and he was the winner of the national Klon Competition for composition in Israel and an award winner in the European International Composer's competition (IBLA). He studied with Chilean/Israeli composer Leon Schidlowsky and was mentored by the renowned British composer Alexander Goehr.
